What’s Most Important:

First and foremost, our number one goal in the Music and Media ministry is to worship God with our lives. As we are led by His spirit and follow after His heart both individually and together, we hope to effectively combine biblical truth and our God-given gifting through music in the corporate setting. In this, we strive to encourage the Fresno First community to know and proclaim the worth of God, as He alone so awesomely deserves. 

We are a community of diverse musicians from all sorts of backgrounds and stories, united under a love for God and serving him through the gifts he has given us. Relationships are a value to our worship team. We seek to live life and serve together in community. 

Practically, we are everything from self-taught instrumentalists to classically trained vocalists. Some of us learn with our ears, while others read music. No matter, we seek to use each person’s gifts in the area they most strongly serve in and are most passionate for.

The worship ministry team consists of the band, vocal and media teams. Each team has a purpose in facilitating worship for the church as a whole, by using the gifts that God has given to each person in the ministry. The music ministry also takes the message of hope found in Christ to the community through various outreach events. You will find a list of ministry opportunities below.

The Band

We have a talented group of musicians who have a passion for playing and have decided to use their talents to praise God. They play a vital role in Sunday morning worship. Admission to this group involves an audition process.

Vocalists

Vocal Team members assist in the leading of worship in both morning services. These individuals are selected by Pastor Bryan for their ability to blend, harmonize and express their love for God and lead others to His throne. Consideration for this group requires an audition process.

We also utilize Soloists, Men’s and Women’s Ensembles to rehearse and perform music for special occasions. Prerequisites are: 1) Personal relationship with Jesus and 2) Passion to help others enter into God’s presence.

Media Teams

The media/tech department is responsible for everything you see, hear, and read at Fresno First, including the following:

• Printed Media (Bulletins, Mailers, Cards, etc..)
• Video Media (Testimony Videos, etc..)
• Web Media (Website, Archive Content, YouTube Content, Podcasts)
• Rich Media (Flash Animation/Technology)

Information Technology

Through music and media we are engaging the body of Christ through captivating worship in order in order to develop God-inspired lives of love and service. Many volunteers work within our Worship Arts teams and we are always welcoming new volunteers. If you have any interest in any of these teams, please contact Pastor Bryan Hitch.
