We have greeters at the front door who greet everyone, not just visitors. You will notice that this church is made up of people of every age group and walk of life. It is a reflection of our diverse city and world. You’ll get a hello at the door, and an invitation to receive a “Gift Bag” especially for our new guests. Sundays include church worship service at 9a or 10:45a and various classes you can participate in. You will be warmly received but not singled out in an uncomfortable way. Every Sunday in Rm. 305 after each worship service there is an informal meet and greet with members of the Pastoral Staff for newcomers.
Fresno First offers worship, grow, and service opportunities for all ages. Adult classes meet on Sundays; Bible studies during the week at various times. There are Men’s and Women’s Bible studies on Wednesday evenings and Women’s studies on campus on Thursdays. Adult studies are also held every Sunday morning on various studies and topics as well as studies in homes throughout the week as part of Small Groups.
Fresno First offers a “Partnership class” that any interested person may attend. It is offered the fourth Sunday of every month at 10:30a-12p and 12:15p-1:45p in Rm 310. (Light lunch provided for 12:15p class.) This is the class to attend if you want to become a “member” (which we call Partners), if you want to be baptized, or if you just want to find out more about our church.
At Fresno First we believe and teach the Biblical principle of the tithe, or ten percent, with regard to our financial giving to God’s work. We also encourage generosity in support of mission and special projects, needs, and opportunities whether local or around the world. Giving is possible through online giving, automatic withdrawal, mail service, or in person as part of our regular worship gatherings.
“Serve” is one of core value/expectations. We believe there is a place for everyone to get involved and make a difference in keeping with one’s spiritual gifts, areas of passion, and personal interest and style. The “Connection Pathway” is an 8-week class (join anytime, any session) offered from 9a-10:15a on Sundays in the Parlor that will help you discover your spiritual gifts, God-given passion, and ministry style.
Ministries and programs are currently in place which are focused on every age group in the family from nursery age children through adults of all ages. For every age you will find that Fresno First provides opportunities to worship, grow, and serve.
Fresno First is a busy place! There are many community based groups and special help and support groups who use the campus. Examples would be NA groups; Adult Education and training classes; Men’s Bible Study Fellowship; Central Valley Prayer group; to name a few.
