e-Inspiration: The LORD's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer

"Lord, teach us to pray."
LUKE 11:1

"Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name..." opens a prayer channel that ushers us into the presence of God.

"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." establishes our priorities. It acknowledges that God is in charge.

"Give us this day our daily bread..." clothes us with Gods daily provisions. Jesus is the Bread of Life, the very sustenance and nourishment of God the Provider.

"Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..." allows us to enhance our relationships by forgiving people---and in turn we are pardoned by God.

"Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..." equips us with the full armor of God so that we have power over the Devil.

"For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power. and the glory, forever" lavishes God with the continual praise he is due.

"Amen" seals the prayer with his promise to fulfill all we have requested in his name and for his glory.
