Well, we made it! I'm sending you this greeting from Jos, Nigeria! I'm in the AfriOne Internet Cafe. We made it into Abuja (the capital) last night at about 7:00pm, and spent the night there. (It isn't safe to drive the road to Jos at night.) We drove from Abuja to Jos this morning, and arrived at about noon. We must have hit about 8 or 10 military road blocks along the road.
It's great to be back! I've been catching up with old friends all day. We were met by Biana Grogg and Dr. Chris at the airport. The flight over went really smoothly. It took us 10 hours from L.A. to Amsterdam, and 6 hours from Amsterdam to Nigeria.
Biana and the Watsons are all doing well, and send their love to everybody. In fact, we had lunch with the Watsons today, and I got to feed Nathan on my lap, and he fell asleep on me for about a half hour. Really cool. Well, I just wanted to let you know that we made it safely, and are having a great time. I'll keep you updated as the two weeks goes along. At the Internet Cafe, we get 20 minutes online for 100 Naira, or about 80 cents. Talk to you soon!
