Last week we read one of my favorite verses Zephaniah 3:17. I just love this verse because of the awesome picture it gives us of how deeply God loves us. Particularly the last sentence in the verse but I wonder what does He sing? Can you imagine God singing? We know He has a great voice in fact His is the perfect voice. He is infinite so we can imagine that He sings notes that our finite imaginations cannot conceive of. The music of creation the sound of the sea, an eagles cry, the roar of thunder and the laughter of a child proves once again His endless creativity. Can you imagine that creativity turned into a song? I think that when we are home, around the throne, singing to God about our joy in Him and our love for Him, He is going to sing the last chorus, His song about His joy in and love for us. And we will be astounded. Anyway, thats what Zeph 3:17 says to me.
There is so much great stuff in our chapters in John that it is almost impossible to pick just one or two things The woman caught in adultery the declaration by Jesus when He said I AM and the Jews understanding what he was saying tried to kill Him, or the blind man and his simple declaration all I know is that once I was blind but now I see the raising of Lazarus the prophecy of Caiaphas - the last supper this is all some great stuff - full of such richness. But I did have one errant question through it all I wonder how Lazarus felt about coming back to earth after four days in heaven? I bet he was not a happy camper. I wonder if God hid Heaven from his memory.
