LAMB OF GOD
On a cross at Calvary
They nailed Him high – for all to see
His naked form and, on His head,
A crown of thorns – for a "king", they said:
"King of Kings", they mockingly cried!
And on that cross my Savior died.
But never was there a grave could hold
Him, of whom the Scripture foretold
Would rise again – by God’s own might,
Ending the dark and terrible night
Of Satan’s power, for all who believe
That He is LORD, and in faith receive
His gift of forgiveness, His gift of love,
His gift of eternity in heaven above.
Dear Lamb of God, may it never be
That I fail to remember --You did it for me.
