e-Praise & Prayers

Either we are adrift in chaos or we are individuals, created, loved, upheld and placed purposefully, exactly where we are. Can you believe that? Can you trust God for that?
Elisabeth Elliot

I have applied with CPS to become a foster parent for the two children I requested prayer for last week. (Yes, I probably am crazy) The bureaucracy of CPS is unbelievable. Please pray that God will open doors for me quickly so that these precious children - the truly innocent victims of this mess - can be in a stable, God worshiping environment.

I have a great praise! Ann Mead’s doctor’s initial examination did not show any bone cancer. He took some bone marrow and did an MRI - so he may still find something - but so far the news is such a relief.

Dan Hansen has found a job as a security guard. He is in training for it right now. Please pray that he will really enjoy his job and that Father can use Dan’s strong testimony on his jobsite.

Char Cole was back at Kaiser due to a tear in her bile duct (?) that has been releasing bile into her system. She has had two operations since Saturday to repair it. To further complicate the situation, she has developed an infection from the bile. However, God has stepped into this situation, and Char was able to go home on Wednesday - sooner than had been thought.

Our mission team to Laos leaves this Sonday. Please keep Pastor Willie, Jessica, Meegan and Seng in your prayers.

Bob Kinnish passed away this past Saturday. Please keep Geri & the family in prayer.

Please pray for Angelina, a young woman I met in Von’s this week. She is undergoing tests on her liver - and things don’t look good.

I have received a prayer request from our e-family, Jane and Karen, whose husband/father passed away unexpectedly.

We continue to pray for the following: Donna Hemphill, Mary Jepsen, Doris Mason with pneumonia, Jim Pombe & heart problems, Joe Barty & throat cancer, Pat Siemens, Mike Abbott in Afghanistan, Lois Thompson & recovery from a stroke, Walt Couch & prostrate cancer, Mike Joos & recovery from radiation treatment, George Martin & cancer, Tony & treatment for prostrate cancer, Merle Rush & recovery from a stroke, John Rodgers with cancer, Stan Reed & cancer

Pray for our missionaries - Judy, Faye & Miisaw at the New Life Center in Thailand, Jan & Larry Martin in Thailand, The Reaching Hand Society in India, SeaFM in Southeast Asia, Dr. George Pe Myat in the Congo, Bounkham & Khamla’s mission to Laos, Gospel For Asia, The Faith Alive Clinic in Jos, Nigeria, Laurie Bethall in Prague, and all the missionaries worldwide.

Pray for our pastors, our leadership, our ministries, and Father’s provision for His Church. Pray that we recognize opportunities to share our faith with others

Pray for our country, her leadership and our military.

Father God,

Thank You for our lives. Thank You for the many ways that You show Your love for us. Your praises will fill our hearts, our minds and our voices for all eternity. We cannot even begin to imagine what it is going to be like around Your throne - but we know it is perfect joy.

LORD Jesus, Your love for the children was so strong. And it still is. Build a wall of protection around these two children and hurry the process that will get them into a secure environment. We pray your blessings on their mother - help her to get the help that she needs to be free of her daemons so that she and her children can be reunited.

We thank You for the praise reports on Ann Mead, Dan Hansen and Char Cole. Continue to be with them and guide them.

Holy Spirit, comfort Geri, her family, Jane and Karen at this time of loss. Help them to cope with the unwelcome changes in their lives.

We lift up Angelina as she undergoes these tests, LORD God, and ask that the tests be negative.

LORD God, so much of the world pulls at us all the time, demanding our time, our attention and our resources. Help us to remember that everything we do, think or speak reflects our relationship with You. Help us to live our lives before an audience of One. Our hearts desire is for the world to fade away - until only You remain.

Light of the World, we praise You because our continuing prayer list is so much shorter than it has been in a long time. Thank You for what you have done and continue to do in each of these situations.

Holy Jesus, 4 of our family will be traveling far from us in these next weeks. Thank You that although they are far from us - they are NEVER far from You. Protect them and guide them as they serve You in Laos.

We ask Your blessings on the ministries of our community of faith, on our leaders, and on our pastors. Protect and provide for those who serve you in places far from home.

We pray for our country - that she might be turned back to You. We pray for our leaders - that they will hear - and heed - Your small still voice. We pray comfort, peace and blessings on all who serve the cause of freedom.

Thank You for this time that we have been able to spend with You. You are our God - our hope for today - our hope forever.
