e-Praise & Prayers

Faith is not being sure where youre going, but going anyway. A journey without maps. Frederick Buechner

A bunch of our church family have gone on a mission trip to Mexico this week. Please keep them in your prayers, that they accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God and that they arrive home safely.

Georgeanne McCormick has injured her foot - a stress fracture. Please pray for a quick recovery so that she can return to work.

My stepfather, Walt Couch’s prostrate cancer is not as slow moving as originally hoped. Please pray that the doctors will find an effective course of treatment for him.

Pray for our country, her leadership and our military.

Most Holy God,

We come before Your throne, broken and sin-soiled. We know that we fail You in so many ways that we deserve Your condemnation. But You are not about the guilt, the blame or the condemnation, for You are grace, mercy, compassion and love. We fall prostrate before You because we are not worthy. You lift us up, You cleanse us from our sins, You make us whole and restore us to You. We are worthy because You chose to make us worthy. We lay our lives before You as a living sacrifice of praise.

Abba God, we lift up before You our family that has gone to serve You in Mexico. Keep them safe and give them many opportunities to share You with those they meet.

We pray that Your healing touch be upon Georgeanne and that she is soon up and about again.

Grant wisdom to Walt Couch’s doctor’s, LORD Most High. Show them how to treat the cancer.

We thank You for Your daughter, Lynette, and her creativity in sharing You on the workplace. Bring comfort to her and her family during this time of grief.

We thank You, Father God for Biana and her courage to be willing to follow Your leading into a distant country to serve You for an extended length of time.

Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD God Almighty, may our songs of praise rise before You throughout eternity. From the highest mountain to the deepest canyon may the songs of Your children enthrone You on our praise. Nothing compares to You.

We pray for the many friends and family who continue to be on our prayer chain. We pray a special prayer for those on our list who do not know You as Savior. We pray that through our prayers and actions we can help them to find You.

We lift up a song of praise and thanksgiving for those who serve You in places of leadership. We pray for our missionaries and ask that You provide for their needs. We pray for our pastors and ask that You show us new ways to support them. We ask that You bless our ministries and the ministry leaders with the opportunities to touch lives in Your name and power.

God bless America and bring her back to You. Touch our leaders and show them the way that You would have our country go. Pour Your abundance on the brave women and men who serve our country in the military.

LORD God, the time is coming when we will literally bow down before You. Just the anticipation of seeing You, touching You and hearing You say our names is such joy that our hearts beat fastert. But as we look forward to our future in Your presence, help us not to forget that our life is today. Help us to live for You today. Amen
