Dear Partners In Ministry
As usual with a farming community we are worried about rain. That there will be enough and not too much and that it will come at the right times. Rice planting has started even though there is not enough rain and people are just hoping that there is. Our hope in God is a sure thing but the weather is pretty fickle.
We will help with the rice planting. They do it in big groups to make it go quicker and to have someone to complain about your aching back to. If the weather is nice wondering around in the mud is not so bad. There are some diseases and parasites in the water but we wear hip boots and the danger is low. The small rice stalks are easy to handle and the promised harvest keeps everybody working. God has promised us a harvest for His kingdom and we keep working with that hope in mind.
We had a joy recently as the church that we worked with last term asked us to come and do a seminar on using income generation projects in the church. It was for a group of Thai evangelists and we enjoyed sharing both from God’s word and from our own experiences about God’s prodding to help the less advantaged among us. As we made up a list it was amazing to look back on that work and see the many ways that God had used that ministry for His glory. Counting your blessings truly is a good exercise for an uplift. We are praying that our efforts in the Nan area will be similarly blessed.
Can you believe that it has been 2 years? This week it will be 2 years since we came to the District of Ban Luang and started to setup here. Jan will make a cake and we will celebrate with some of our neighbors as people often ask how long we have been here. Over the last 2 years God has blessed us with many good relationships and positive experiences. We are praying that the next 2 years will be an even greater time for His kingdom.
Yours in His Kingdom

Prayer and Praise Points
Praise the Lord for His love and care for us over the last two years.
Pray that the relationships we build through working in the fields together will bear fruit for the Kingdom.
Pray that our income generation projects will have as much response for the Kingdom of God as they had in Chiang Rai.
