With all things, it is always what comes to us from outside, freely and by surprise as a gift from heaven, without our having sought it, that brings us pure joy. Simone Weil
I saw a miracle this morning. The sun came up, shone through my neighbor’s tree and lit up the brilliant purple flowers on our trumpet vine in the back yard. It was like Father had put a spotlight on them. I look out my bedroom window every morning and today was the first time I realized that that plant had even bloomed. Thank You, LORD God for the everyday miracles of Your creation. Help us to slow down enough to see them.

Annie sent us an update on her father - “I want to give you an update on my father, John Rogers. He is doing very well. He is not in remission, and probably never will be, but his cancer is being held at bay with his chemotherapy. For eight months he had to wear a Cervical Collar (the type of collar they put on people who have whiplash) and could not drive, but a couple of weeks ago the doctor cleared him to take it off and he is once again driving. I want to thank everyone for their prayers over the past several months and to praise God for his grace and healing.”

Alpha and Omega,
You are the Uncreated One - You have no beginning and You have no end. You fill eternity with Your presence. We are in awe that You should even know our names let alone love us as deeply as You do. Thank You for Your relentless love.

Bless the leadership of our congregations and grant them wisdom as they lead the ministries. Bless our ministries with Your abundance.
LORD God, help us to see this world as You see it. Help us to reach out to others in Your name. Father, help us to not get so caught up in the busyness of church that we overlook our purpose - which is to glorify You, reach the lost and build the Church. Give us opportunities to share Your glory and love with others.
God bless America. Bless our leadership with wisdom. Please protect those who serve our country.
Father, hear the cry of our hearts. Help us to live so strongly for You in our words, our thoughts and our actions that people don’t need to even ask if we are Christians - they just know it.
In Your name we pray - Amen
