e-Praise & Prayers

A revival of real praying would produce a spiritual revolution
E.M. Bounds

The Pink House is having a “Black Tie Bunko Night” fundraiser on April 16th at 7:30. The entrance fee to this wild & crazy event is $12.00 and all proceeds go to support the ministry of the Pink House. Lessons on Bunko will be available - and “Black Tie” means whatever you want it to mean. Contact Matthew & Lisa Watson with questions.

We have received a prayer request from Georgette Bersani for her friend Laurie’s granddaughter, Morgan. Morgan has been sent to a specialist because her fontanel is closing to soon. Now I don’t know what a fontanel is (help me out medical professionals on the list!) But it’s closing puts pressure on this 5 month old baby’s brain - and that is not good!

Jess Castanon, Jennie Coronado’s brother, is doing well after surgery on April 5th for some stomach problems. But the best praise of all is that during this time he has entered into a relationship with Jesus. YIPPEE! And praise the LORD!

Rick Owens, the young man we have been praying for for quite some time is losing his fight with leukemia. Hospice has been called into the home and the time that remains is unknown. When we first started praying for Rick he was an unbeliever - but during this fight he has accepted Jesus as savior. What a joy to know that the end of this chapter of his life will be the beginning of the greatest chapter of his life.

We continue to pray for the following: Shirley Carpenter, Krista & Aaron Weins, Howard Eicher and recovery from surgery, Ted Gomez as he sees the specialist, Ace Estes & shingles, Sharleen Ferree & recovery from surgery, Yolanda and recovery from her back surgery, Donna Hemphill & shingles, Ruth Howell’s continued recovery, Lorraine & George Esparza’s daughter & son-in-law, Tim & Lorna’s adoption of Drew, Bobbie Ronsley & lupus, Dennis Galloway, Larry Mead, Brent Clapp, Charles & Chantel in Paris, Brandon & leukemia, Stan Reed & cancer, Kassel Coon serving in Afghanistan, Ray Rahn & his wife, Brigg Noyes, Judi Wright & her mom-Nola, George & Margie Martin, Dan Hansen & his future job, John Rogers and cancer. Please send me any updates you might have on these situations.

Pray for our missionaries - Dr. George Pe Myat & the hospital in the Congo, Bounkham & Khamla’s mission to Laos, Laurie Bethall in Prague, Judy, Faye & Miisaw as they work at the New Life Center in Thailand, Jan & Larry Martin in Thailand, The Reaching Hand Society in India, and all the missionaries worldwide.

Please keep our two church plants in prayer. Please pray for Karl & Shellie Roth with Flipside. Please pray for Horacio & Cheryl Aleman at the LIFEhouse in Reedley. Flipside now has Pastor Karl’s sermon on their website - check it out at www.acts176.com

Pray for our pastors, our leadership, our ministries, and Father’s provision for His Church. Pray for opportunities to share our faith with others.

Pray for our country, her leadership and our military.

Living God,

You are not just one truth among many truths, You are Truth. You are not a god among many gods, You are God Almighty. You are the Great I AM Who was and is and is to come. On our knees in awe - we worship You.

We pray for baby Morgan and the fontanel that is closing. We ask that You be with her, her parents and her doctors at this time and that decisions will be made that will help Morgan.

We thank You for the great news on Jess Castanon - another name added to the Book of Life. Continue to be with him as he recovers.

LORD of All, although we are saddened by this news on Rick we can still take a deep breath of relief that when Rick leaves this earth he will instantly be in Your presence. How cool is that?

Abba, We are so grateful that You do not see us as the world sees us, or as our friends see us, as our family sees us or even as our church family sees us. You do not see us as we are - You see us as we will be. Strong, pure and clothed in the blinding white robes of Your righteousness. I am so glad to know that when I blow it here on earth - that You see me as more than that.

Holy God, we lift up all the names that are on our prayer chain - knowing that You know them intimately, You love them without limits and that You will be sovereign in each situation.

We pray for our missionaries around the world, but in particular we pray for Dr. George, Bounkham & Khamla, Laurie Bethall, Judy, Faye and Miisaw, Jan and Larry Martin and the Reaching Hand Society, Remo & Dr. Iris. LORD Jesus, let them see You afresh this week - give them a renewed vision of how You are going to use them to accomplish great works in Your Kingdom.

We pray for our two church plants and for the pastors and leaders in them. We ask that You continue to bless, protect and provide for the needs of these new congregations, and help their focus to remain always on You and Your purpose.

Holy Spirit, we pray that You will fill us anew. Restore the joy of our relationship with You. Help us to purpose to serve You fully with our hearts, lives and bodies. Give us opportunities to reach out to others in Your awesome name. Help us to engage our world in one-by-one conversations and relationships.

Pour out Your blessings on our pastors, our leaders, our ministries and our congregations. Help us to always seek Your face first in every situation.

We pray for our military men and women who serve our country so well in situations that are beyond imagining. Comfort them LORD. Place Your hand on our country’s leaders and guide them, Father. God Bless America.

Outside my window, LORD God, the wind is tossing the branches to and fro, filling the air with the sound of their music. Thank You for this beautiful creation that You have given to us. Thank You for the promise that the best is yet to come. We love You, LORD. You are our God and we are Your people. Amen.
