e-Praise & Prayers

Tell God what you know He knows
in order that you may get to know it as He does.
O Chambers

I went to help out at Flipside’s Easter Egg hunt this past Saturday. Although I missed the egg hunt I was told that there were about 300 kids there for it. It was a fun, fun day. I got to help serve the hot dogs - so I was in hog heaven - surrounded by the things I love most - kids and food.

Our Easter Egg hunt on Sonday was well attended by not only our own children - but by lots of our neighborhood kids as well. When all of the kids went up on the platform sang “Hallelujah” with us before dancing off to Kid Mo’ my heart was filled near to bursting with the joy of them. I guess that I love the kids even more than the food. Another highpoint was hearing “Jesus is Risen!” in all the various languages spoken in our church! How awesome was that!

Please pray for Ruth Howell. She was back in the hospital this past week where doctors removed fluid that was accumulating in her lungs. Bev & Floyd Willis went to visit her at St. Agnes last Thursday and she was feeling good and was able to eat.

A young family in our church family has received some exciting news! Tim & Lorna are adopting a baby boy named Drew. They have received notification that the adoption should be finalized in 60 to 90 days. This is the second adoption for this couple - they also have an adopted daughter named Elizabeth. Please pray that the adoption continues to go smoothly and that it is finalized in the 60 days - rather than the 90 days.

Lorraine & George Esparza’s daughter and son-in-law are doing better financially - but are still looking for a church home.

Bobbie Ronsley is having another flare-up of her lupus and has skin rashes all over her arms. Please pray that this flare-up can be brought under control quickly.

A number of our church family traveled to Lemoore this past Monday to attend the funeral of Kelli Hasting’s father, Chuck Johnson. I am told that it was a wonderful service and that Kelli is doing well - all things considered. Please continue to uphold this family in prayer.

We continue to pray for the following: Aaron Wiens, the newborn with neurological problems and his parents Aaron & Krista, Austin Bertelsen & his hand tremors, Dennis Galloway with gout, Larry Mead and his broken foot, Brent Clapp and his cancer, Charles & Chantel in Paris, Brandon & leukemia, Laura and her recovery from a bone marrow transplant, Stan Reed & cancer, Lillian Seward with shingles, Kassel Coon serving in Afghanistan, Helen Wilmot and her foot infection, Connie’s continued recovery, Ray Rahn & his wife, Brigg Noyes, Rick Owens & the reoccurrence of his cancer, Judi Wright & her mom-Nola, George & Margie Martin, 2 year old Patrick & the brain tumor, Yolanda & her back problems, Dan Hansen & his future job, John Rogers and cancer. Please send me any updates you might have on these situations.

Pray for our missionaries -Jan & Larry Martin in Thailand, The Reaching Hand Society in India, Dr. George Pe Myat & the hospital in the Congo, Bounkham & Khamla’s mission to Laos, Laurie Bethall in Prague, Judy, Faye & Miisaw as they work at the New Life Center in Thailand and all the missionaries worldwide.

Please keep our two church plants in prayer. Please pray for Karl & Shellie Roth with Flipside. Please pray for Horacio & Cheryl Aleman at the LIFEhouse in Reedley.

Pray for our pastors, our leadership, our ministries, and Father’s provision for His Church. Pray for opportunities to share our faith with others.

Pray for our country, her leadership and our military.

Risen God, Hope of the World,

We thank You for the love for us that is so all-consuming that You were willing to sacrifice Yourself to bring us back into relationship with You. Help us to keep the hope and new life of Easter Sonday fresh in our hearts everyday.

We pray for Ruth Howell. Touch her lungs and her body and bring healing to her.

Abba, With joy we lift before You Tim, Lorna, Elizabeth and Baby Drew. We thank You for the strength of this family and we ask that You bless this adoption and hurry the processing of it.

Whisper to the hearts of Lorraine & George’s children and draw them to the church home You would have them attend.

Father, we ask that You heal Bobbie from this flare-up of the lupus and the rashes on her arms.

Continue to be with Kelli and her family as they adjust to the passing of Chuck Johnson. Grant to this family the peace that passes all understanding - that can only be found in You.

Thank You that not a moment of our lives passes without You being absolutely aware of what is going on with us, and with You protecting us, loving us and guiding us. You are our Father, our Abba. We take joy in knowing that we are Your children and that the promise of eternity with You is ours.

LORD Jesus, we continue to pray for those on our prayer list, that Your will be done in each situation and each life - and that each situation and person will bring glory to Your Name as You work within them.

Holy Spirit, pour Your blessings on Your well-loved missionaries. Protect them as they serve You in areas that are hostile to Your Word. Provide for their needs both physical and spiritual. Show them Your glory.

We lift up the two church plants that we are involved in and we thank You for the honor of being chosen by You to help with the building of these new congregations. Thank You for Horacio & Cheryl Aleman at the LIFEHouse in Reedley. Bless and prosper them. We also hold up Karl & Shellie Roth and we thank You for them and for their heart of service. Continue to build Flipside Church.

Light of the World, we pray in agreement for our pastors. Thank You for bringing them to us. We thank You for the way they follow You and in following You so closely they teach us to follow also. We pray for them, Father, and ask that You bless them completely. We pray for the leadership of our churches and ask that You give them a clear vision of where You would have us go. We pray for all the ministries that reach out in Your name in a multitude of different ways. Provide for the needs of the ministries. We ask that You provide for the needs of the Church.

Give us opportunities to engage our world in Your name. Help us to reflect You in our words, in our actions and in our thoughts.

Bless our country, our leadership and our military. Bring our country back to You.

LORD God, we are complete in You. You fill up all the empty spots, You heal our hurts, You give us reason to dance. You are our God and we are Your people. Our desire is to follow You.

Who could have ever imagined a love like this? We love You so much. In Your name we pray - Amen.
