e-Praise & Prayers

For God so loved the world
That He gave His only Son
That whosoever believes in Him
will not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Thank You, Jesus

What an exciting week we have to celebrate the resurrection of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. On Thursday night we will be observing Maundy Thursday. This is probably the most beautiful service all year - as we remember that on this night Jesus changed the world forever when He chose His father’s will over His own fears. On Friday afternoon there will be Good Friday services at noon at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and then Friday Evening at 7:00 we will be having a community Good Friday service at Grizzly’s stadium. This event drew over 3,000 people last year and we praised the roof off! Weather forecast says no rain on Friday! On Saturday Flipside Church is having an Easter Egg hunt at Liberty High School in the Madera Ranchos. That starts at 10:00. Easter morning begins early at FFBC as we have an early service (7:00 am) for all those who serve during our services. My understanding is that Dave Lucas is speaking at that service. I am really excited about hearing Dave speak because his family was brought to FFBC by the Garcia’s who first started attending through Care Fresno Kids Klub! After that we will be on a regular schedule of services - as if anything about Easter morning could be called regular! The Sonday School is having an Egg-stravagaza on Sonday Morning at 10:00 with over 2,000 eggs waiting to be found!

Helen Wilmot was in services this past Sonday - without her wheelchair! Her foot is getting much better!

Larry Mead was in services - he is still in his wheelchair. He hasn’t put a nitrous oxide engine on it yet - probably because he is hoping for a walking cast soon.

Chuck Johnson, Kelli Hastings father, passed away this last Saturday after a long battle with cancer. Please pray for Kelli and the family as they grieve their loss.

Dennis Galloway has gout that is making it very difficult for him to get around. Please pray for healing and for an easing of the pain in his legs.

Please pray for Austin Bertelsen. He & his parents will be going to Stanford for some tests to determine the cause of his worsening hand tremors. I know that Austin is a child - but don’t know his age.

Please pray for Aaron Wiens. He was born on March 13th with serious neurological problems. He is on life support. Please keep his parents - Aaron & Krista - in your prayers as well.

We continue to pray for the following: Brent Clapp, Charles & Chantel in Paris, Brandon & leukemia, Laura and her recovery from a bone marrow transplant, Stan Reed, Lillian Seward, Kassel Coon, Helen Wilmot, Connie’s continued recovery, Ray Rahn & his wife, Paula’s continued recovery, Marian, Brigg Noyes, Ruth Howell & continued recovery, Rick Owens & the reoccurrence of his cancer, Lorraine Esparza’s daughter & son-in-law, Kirt Hunt & continued recovery, Judi Wright & her mom, Bobbie Ronsley & lupus, George & Margie Martin, 2 year old Patrick & the brain tumor, Yolanda & her back problems, Dan Hansen & his future job, John Rogers and cancer. Please send me any updates you might have on these situations.

Pray for our missionaries - Laurie Bethall in Prague, Judy, Faye & Miisaw as they work at the New Life Center in Thailand, Jan & Larry Martin in Thailand, The Reaching Hand Society in India, Dr. George Pe Myat & the hospital in the Congo, Bounkham & Khamla’s mission to Laos, and all the missionaries worldwide.

Please keep our two church plants in prayer. Please pray for Karl & Shellie Roth with Flipside. Please pray for Horacio & Cheryl Aleman at the LIFEhouse in Reedley.

Pray for our pastors, our leadership, our ministries, and Father’s provision for His Church. Pray for opportunities to share our faith with others.

Pray for our country, her leadership and our military.

Holy and True One,

We thank You, LORD God, for the gift of life that was given to us. Help us to always remember that our lives were bought with a price - and that price wasn’t cheap. We were bought by Your own blood - a price that You paid willingly - because of a love that we can scarcely understand.

We thank You for the great news on Helen and Larry as they recover. Continue to heal them.

We pray for Kelli and her family as they grieve the passing of Chuck. LORD God, comfort them

Great Healer, we call out on behalf of Dennis Galloway and ask that You heal the gout in his legs. Ease his pain and give him the ability to walk with comfort.

Gentle Jesus, we ask that You be with Austin during this time. Please get him and his parents to Stanford safely. Grant wisdom and insight to his doctors so they can find the cause and determine the treatment for his hand tremors.

Abba, we pray for little Aaron at this time. Hold this tiny baby close to Your loving heart. Be with his parents - Aaron & Krista - during this frightening time. Bring them comfort and peace. During this season of life - protect these lives.

Holy Spirit, we continue to pray for all of those who are on our list. We know that You are in control of each of these lives and each of these situations. We release them to You.

Alpha and Omega, You are our strength and our song, You are the Great I AM, Who is and was and is to come, You are the Bread of life and the Living Water that quenches our thirst. We worship before You today and long fo the time when we will worship around Your throne.

We pray for our missionaries around the world. We ask that You grant them serenity in these troubled times. Provide for their needs and keep them safe.

We pray for the Easter egg hunt that Flipside is having this Saturday, LORD. Use this opportunity to build bringes of relationship between the people of Flipside and the community. We pray for Horacio and Cheryl Aleman and the LIFEHouse Church of Reedley, that You bless them during this Holy week.

Holy Spirit, pour Yourself on our beloved pastors and the leadership of our churches during this busy week. Grant them patience and a new vision of Who You are. Empower them to do Your will. Bless our ministries and help us keep them focused on You. Provide for the needs of the Church.

Help us to see the world in the same way that You do. Grant us opportunities to share our faith, and the wisdom to see the opportunities.

We love You, LORD. You are our way when the darkenss threatens, You are the Truth in a world of lies, You are our source of Life, today, tomorrow and forever. We worship You.
