Picking a Fight
"My son is sick," the man told the missionary. Could Jesus heal him? he wanted to know.
That was not why Shibu had initially approached the GFA missionary. He and his friend, Kumar, were really just there to argue with him - and to ask him why he was ruining their village by talking about this new God.
But then another man - a follower of this God - had approached, sharing his story of great things God had done for him. Silently, Shibu and Kumar listened.
Then Shibu asked the question that was on his heart - "My son is sick - can Jesus heal him?"
"Believe," the missionary responded, "and Jesus can heal him." Shibu believed, and the Lord healed his son!
That day, two men who had intended to cause problems instead witnessed God's powerful hand at work. Pray for these men and their families, that Jesus would become very real to them.
