What a wonderful day of celebration & worship today at the first preview service of Flipside Church! The weather cooperated, being cloudy with a few sprinkles of rain during the set-up and as the people arrived for the service. It rained during the service then cleared up again just as the service ended and people walked back to their cars.
A large number of volunteers made the set-up and tear down fairly quick and helped the service to run smoothly. Shellie Roth and her small army of volunteers made sure that the children had an opportunity to learn about Jesus in their own classes while their parents worshiped in the multi-purpose room of Valley Oak Elementary. Rick Robbins and the worship band led in some great worship music. Karl Roth’s sermon about the cisterns in our souls was fantastic!
About 180 people joined in this preview service and it quickly became apparent that for the next service in February - they will need to set up more chairs!
That next service will be held on February 6th at the Valley Oak Elementary multi-purpose room.
