e-Missions Update - Reaching Hand Society

A Mother's Heart Cry and a Son's Response.

The last leg of my journey to Malkangiri was very heart rending. For at the Vizag airport was a women who was shouting and crying and very hysterical as her son had died of consuming drugs. She was an Indian, a Christian and settled in the US and had all the wealth in the world. Her richness could not be described and yet her cry to God was "I do not need this wealth Lord, BUT give me back my son". Her cry also revealed that her son did not heed to her warning and because of the excessive wealth at home did not study BUT went into drinking and drugs. She was taking a different flight so I had to leave her and I was crying as I left her. My thoughts go back to Jesus and His birth, which we will be soon celebrating. I started to imagine the heart cry of Mary and the response of Jesus as He grew up just like you and me in this world. Oh! How Blessed we are to enjoy the costly sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and how we belong to Him and Him alone. We are the most Blessed and Privileged people living today on the face of this earth. As you read this, is the Bubble Of Joy Bubbling through? The RHS family wishes each one of you a BLESSED and a JOY filled Christmas and may you share what He has given spiritually, emotionally, and financially with those who have less.

The month of November was as busy as ever, with my visiting one after another village, helping spiritually and medically those in need.

An Australian team from Churches of Christ is now with us. The leader of the team Rev. Jeff May had visited me twice, 20 years and 18 years ago. So it is a real Joy to have him and his team with us. We have been with some of the team members help, been able to complete a complete medical check up for the hostel children of Balimela 93 of them and also part of the children in the deaf and dumb and blind school at Nayakguda. We are travelling to interior villages, night halting in villages which do not have electricity or any facility. Cerebral (brain) malaria is rampant now and so will appreciate prayers for protection. Already Niranjan has come down with this, but Praise God he is OK. Now Romesh has picked up some infection (do not know what) and has been shifted to Nowrangpur hospital and it is a Joy to have Dr. John there, where he and his team render selfless service to all my staff and patients whom we send to them.

Thank you for all who prayed for my health. The ECG shows RBBB and T wave inversion in Lead 111, AVF and V1. The echo shows an enlarged left ventricle with 66% function. I Praise God that I am alive today as not even a single wave in the ECG is normal. (Please refer to Remo's note at the end of more details) Please continue to uphold for a miraculous healing and strength from God.

Thank you to all who have responded to the many letters that I wrote to help financially specially for the Christmas gift. The needs continue to be many and so every gift is very precious for RHS. We pray for special blessing on all who pray and give during this very Happy Christmas season.

With Love and Prayers,
Iris.

Remo's Note: All that medical jargon just means that her heart is not in good shape. She goes for more tests in December and the initial test reports are being sent to doctors for second opinion. Will appreciate your continued prayers.
