E-Praise & Prayers - November 24, 2004
“Thank God for his Son—a gift too wonderful for words! "
2 Corinthians 9:15 NLT
At this time of the year when we pause to give thanks for all that we - as individuals, as a family and as a nation - have received - let us not forget the greatest gift of all.
Jesus
My mind shudders to think of what my physical life (I was already soul-dead) would be like today if not for Him. Or if I would even be alive.........
Great news from Julie & her mom in Wisconsin! Both of them have recovered completely from their broken bones and expect to regain full use of Julie’s hand and her mom’s foot.
I ran into Khamla on Sonday - she looked GREAT! Her hair is growing back in - but even more important - that wonderful smile of her’s was just’a glowing!
Julie is requesting prayer for her friend’s mother, Lorraine Reuter. Lorraine has colon cancer. She is almost completely bedridden. Lorraine is not in relationship with Jesus. The cancer is bad - but not having Jesus is deadly. Please pray for Lorraine that she will come into relationship with Jesus
We have a prayer request from Ann Mead - “My grandniece, Bethany, who is 6 months pregnant is having a problem. She is producing too much embryonic fluid which is causing the baby to be threatened. Please pray for her and the baby boy.”
Shirley Cutright is suffering from congestive heart failure and is over at Hillcrest (3672 N. First) If you get a chance drop by to see her.
Mike, the guitarist from the praise band, got an unpleasant shock as he was setting up for first service this past Sonday. He was told that his wife’s sister had been found dead. The sister was in her 40's. As of yet there has been no cause of death released. Please pray for the family.
We have been praying for Brandon, Maddie Neumann’s 2 year old cousin. I am sorry to tell you that Brandon is back in hospital with his leukemia and things are not promising. Please continue to uphold this family in prayer.
Little Patrick is also not doing well and continues to be in the hospital. He is still unable to take the chemotherapy for his brain tumor and is slowly fading. Please pray for Patrick & his family.
Please continue to pray for our Katie and the problems with her swallowing food & liquids into her lungs.
We have a prayer request from Dr. Iris Paul at the Reaching Hand Society for her personal health problems of diabetes and unstable blood pressure and for her 100 year old grandma.
We continue to pray for the following: Danette’s grandma Ailien & her complete recovery, Danette’s parents Dan & Sandy Austin & their struggle with finances, Lisa & substance abuse problems, Laura with her leukemia, 11 year old Madison who took a serious fall from her horse and is in Children’s hospital, Gabriel, Ruth Delgado’s nephew, recovering from wounds received in Iraq, Dan Hansen & his new employment opportunity, Carola Poythress’s recovery from her stroke, George Martin with cancer in his bones, John Rogers & his cancer, Jim Hildman with the staph infection & cancer, Christine Rollins with a kidney stone, Kris Biaz as she recovers from surgery, Marisela & her family, Ray Rahn & his kidney dialysis, my friend who is drifting away from Father, Johnnie Sowell & her chemo, Cheryl Balestra & her chemo, Delaine Zody & the problems over at Fresno High, Billie Cagle & her recovery that is going well, Chuck Johnson & his health problems, Lois Winters & her cancer, Peggy Molander & her physical therapy and Robert Kammer & sleep apnea.

Please keep our two church plants in prayer -the Flipside Church of Rio Mesa with Karl & Shelly Roth and Life House in Reedley with Horacio and Cheryl Aleman.
Please pray for our Pastors, leadership, ministries and that God will provide for His church.
Pray for our country and our leadership. Pray for our military around the world.
LORD, my God,
You have given us so much to be thankful for. You provide for us in ways to numerous to recount. What we are most thankful for - in this season of Thanksgiving - is Your Son Jesus, Whom You sent to save us. Because of Him we will live forever in Your presence. We have no greater joy than You.
Holy Spirit, we bow at Your feet and call out for Lorraine Reuter. The cancer is bad - but that is not what is going to kill her. She doesn’t know You and that is what will condemn her to death. Touch her heart, LORD God, and call her to You. Let her find You and believe in You.
King over all the Earth, touch Bethany and her baby boy with Your healing hand. Let the pregnancy proceed without problems and let the boy be born safely.
Emmanuel, We lift our sister, Shirley, before You and ask that You heal the problem with her heart. Comfort her while she is over at Hillcrest.
Great Comforter, comfort Mike and his family as they deal with this unexpected loss of their sister and aunt. Bring them peace.
You are our King of Glory, high above all else in might, truth, power, grace and love. We bow in adoration of You.
Abba, our hearts break over the news of these little ones, Brandon, Patrick and Katie. We know how very much You love them. The children are the hardest ones on us LORD, as they are on You. We ask that You hold them close to Your heart and that Your prurpose be fulfilled in their lives.
Shiloh (Peacemaker), bring Your peace of mind to Dr Iris and her grandmother. Heal their bodies, strengthen them and help them continue Your work in India. Pour Your abundant blessings on all of the Reaching Hand Society missionaries.
Lifter of our Heads, we have so many for whom we are praying, so many different situations. LORD of All, reign sovereign in each of these lives. Place Your touch on all of them.
LORD Jesus, we lift our missionaries before You, LORD God, and ask that You protect them as they work the far away fields of harvest. Grant them courage, comfort and strength. Bathe them in Your love.
Holy Spirit, we thank You for the privilege of being involved with two church plants. We ask that You bless these two new beginnings and establish them firmly in their neighborhoods. Bless all those who will come to hear of Your salvation.
LORD God, we are thankful for our missionaries, and we for the new churches, but most of all, we are thankful for our own church home. Thank You for bringing us together as part of Your Church. If You were to pour blessings on our pastors as richly as they deserve, it might beggar Heaven. Help us to be part of Your blessings to our pastors by always showing them how much we love them. Bless the leadership of our churches with a clear vision of how You would have us serve You.. Bless each of the ministries that we are involved in and help us to keep the focus of each ministry fully upon You. Bless each congregation with an abundance of Your Spirit.
Judge of the nations, we lift our country before You and humble ourselves before You as we cry out for her. LORD God, bring our country back to You. Help us to be the hands of Your restoration. Strengthen our president and give him the wisdom he needs to lead us and faith to follow You regardless of all else. Bless our military as they serve us around the world. Give them peace and keep them safe.
You Whom our souls loves above all others, thank You for all of eternity in Your presence. You are our Alpha and Omega, and we will never depart from You.
