e-Missions Update: The Reaching Hand Society

Greeting in Jesus' Name.

It is a joy to be writing to you again. Today afternoon has been a great one as the sun is out for the first time in 15 days. The monsoon in Malkangiri has been delayed but when it did come it came in good. One local reservoir is full and the other one should get full by the end of this month.

Worship Sheds:
---------------------

The Lord continues to move. In the month of July two the congregations in the villages of Pod Colony and Kiang built sheds. These sheds are used for the Sunday worship and the mid-week Bible Study. The entire costs of the building of the sheds were borne by the congregation themselves. Some pictures of the worship shed in Pod Colony are available at http://community.webshots.com/album/162988363wckEUe.

A witchdoctor healed:
----------------------------

Last month Ram vade (Vade - Witchdoctor in Koya) was bitten by a snake and had lost the use of his left leg. After using all his as a witchdoctor and the skills of the other witchdoctors wich failed he invited Niranjan and Dilip (missionaries in Rabaguda) to pray. Praise God he has regained the use of leg. He now greatfully tells of the payer that healed him. Please pray that he will soon accept Christ.

A bear hug:
---------------

On the night of 11th July 2004 Ranu Rabe, a seven year old girl and her mother were attacked by a bear about 50 meters from the house of Niranjan and Dilip. They gave some first aid and rushed her to Malkangiri the next morning. The girl had severe trauma in her head and a fractured arm. The local doctor gave no hope and said the girl would not survive. We went on our knees wept and prayed. Praise the Lord today the girl is healthy and is back in her village. Our God is still a miracle working God. I am moved to tears everytime I see Him at work. Please continue to pray for Ranu as her fractured arm continues to heal.

Freedom in Jail:
---------------------

Ravi Raj (name changed), who is in Malkangiri sub-jail and is under trail for naxalite (terrorist) activities accepted the Lord last month. Praise the Lord for the freedom in jail. Please continue to pray for the ministry in the jail.
