A Holy Man Finds the Truth
This is K.P. Yohannan with Breaking News from Asia
The man in the saffron colored robe was a holy man, in search of spiritual truth. And his search led him somewhere he never expected.
Sewak Ram left his home and family, hoping to find peace for his soul. But after two years, he felt no closer to God. Then one day a lady passed by and asked him to follow her to a meeting with our God's people. He agreed. And as they walked, she shared her testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ. She once searched for truth herself. But none of their gods had the answers. He was very interested in her story. In fact, he had a Gospel tract someone gave him the day before. When asked what he thought of the tract, he acted like someone who just found his lost son. He bowed his head and lifted both hands to the sky. Then he touched the booklet to his forehead in devotion. "I am grateful for all the words in this booklet!" he cried. Then they walked into the church, and that very day, the holy man surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. And his search came to an end.
Note from Valerie: I love to get these little reports from Gospel for Asia in my e-mail. I get one every day. I particulary liked this one because there is something that Seawak Ram in Asia and Valerie Rae Hanneman in California have in common. We were both searching for something - him for peace for his soul - me for something that made sense in my life. For both of us - when we surrendered our lives to Jesus - our search came to an end. Thank You, Jesus, for always being what we are really searching for!
