We often say, “If you want to discover God’s plan for your life personally and God’s plan for your life as part of this community of faith the key is your personal commitment to our three Core Value/Expectations – Worship – Grow – Serve.” These are both “values” that we hold to and organize around and they are also “behaviors” that are individual and corporate.

When you make a personal commitment to worship both individually and corporately; when you make a personal commitment to your spiritual growth; when  you make a personal commitment to discover and use your God-given gifts for service and ministry, then you are living out our core value/expectations.

These three represent our broad areas of commitment and our alignment of ministry as a congregation. We value each one and we focus programs, resources and activity around each one. Commitment to one or two but not all three is not our concept. All three – Worship-Grow-Serve- are thoroughly Biblical and allow us to live out the scriptural mandate to “Love God and Love Others”.

Worship-Grow-Serve also represents a “pathway” of sorts in becoming acquainted with and fully connected to Fresno First. We offer the connection workshop, which covers who we are, what we believe, how to join us, ways to grow, and how to discover your gifts and get plugged into appropriate areas of service. This class is offered as a ten-week elective class on Sunday mornings.
